1. Privacy policy

Catchyeting is a browser-based marketing story studio operated in connection with gallocode.com. We keep server-side data to a minimum.

What we store on our servers

• Account email — used to sign you in with a one-time code.
• Account statistics — credit balance, free-credit eligibility, purchase records, and light usage counters (for example generate / export events tied to your account), needed to run the paid credit system and prevent abuse.
• Session — a signed-in session so you stay logged in while you use the product.
• Device identifier (after cookie consent) — a technical id used only for account abuse limits (for example free-credit eligibility), not for advertising profiles.

What we do not store on our servers

• Your stories, projects, exports, images, and canvas edits are user-generated content kept in your browser (local storage). We do not keep a project library or story history on our servers.
• Briefs you type for generation are sent to the AI provider only to produce the preview response and are not saved as a content archive on Catchyeting servers.

Payments

Credit purchases are processed by PayPal. We record pack purchases and credit grants against your email so your balance works across sessions. PayPal’s own privacy policy applies to payment data they process.

AI providers

To generate a story preview, your brief is sent to a third-party model API (for example OpenAI or another configured provider). That processing is required to deliver the feature. Do not submit confidential personal data you are not allowed to share with such providers.

2. GDPR (EU / EEA)

If you are in the European Union or EEA, we process personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Controller — Catchyeting / Gallocode (see contact below).
• Lawful bases — performance of the service you request (account, credits, generation); legitimate interests in securing the service and preventing abuse; consent where required for non-essential storage (cookie / local consent preference).
• Your rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
• Retention — account email and credit/usage statistics are kept while your account is needed for the service and for reasonable abuse-prevention / accounting records. Browser-only projects are under your control and disappear when you clear site data.
• Requests — email us via the contact link to exercise GDPR rights (for example delete account email and related server records).

3. Cookie policy

We use a small set of necessary cookies and similar storage so login and the studio work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in.
• Device cookie / local id — after you accept necessary cookies, helps recognize this browser for account features and free-credit limits.
• Consent preference — remembers that you accepted necessary cookies (also available as a checkbox in login).

You can refuse cookies, but login and related features that need a session or device id will not work until you accept necessary cookies.

4. Browser storage (your device)

Everything related to creating and editing stories is designed to stay on your device unless you export a file yourself:

• My Projects and drafts — local storage in your browser only.
• Studio preferences — local form / UI state as needed for the session.
• Clearing cookies / site data for Catchyeting removes projects and local drafts on that browser. Server-side email and credit balance are separate and are not deleted by clearing the browser alone.

5. Terms of use & disclaimer (no warranty / no liability)

Catchyeting is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

• User-generated content — you are solely responsible for briefs, stories, images, branding, and any material you create, edit, export, publish, or share. Outputs are AI-assisted suggestions, not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
• No content hosting archive — we do not store your story projects on our servers. If your browser data is lost, we cannot recover those projects.
• Your compliance — you must have the rights to use any brand, product claim, image, or personal data you include. You must not use the tool for unlawful, harmful, infringing, or deceptive content.
• Limitation of liability — to the fullest extent permitted by law, Catchyeting / Gallocode and their operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of (or inability to use) the tool, including AI outputs, exports, credit purchases, downtime, or third-party services (PayPal, AI providers, hosting).
• Credits — purchased credits are for export usage under the product rules. They have no cash value except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

If a court finds part of this disclaimer unenforceable, the rest still applies. Mandatory consumer rights in your country are not excluded where they cannot legally be waived.
